However,when you operate the computer on battery power,pay extra attention to the warning beeps and theindicator light on the display panel. The indicatorflashes when the battery power is low.The following signals indicate a battery-lowcondition:q The buzzer generates four short beeps everyminute, if you enabled the Battery-lowWarning Beep parameter in Setupq The status indicator flashes at regularintervals until battery power is depletedWhen you receive a battery-low warning, you havearound two minutes to save your work. If you donot connect the AC adapter within this period, thecomputer enters hibernation mode if the SleepUpon Battery-low parameter in Setup is enabledand the following conditions exist:q The hibernation file created by Sleep Manageris present and valid. See section 5.1.q There is enough battery power left to savesystem information onto the hard disk.Otherwise, the computer enters standby mode.
