Page 12Step 4: Prepare refrigerant pipingThe refrigerant piping is inside an insulating sleeve attachedto the back of the unit. You must prepare the pipingbefore passing it through the hole in the wall. Refer to theRefrigerant Piping Connection section of this manualfor detailed instructions on pipe flaring and flare torquerequirements, technique, etc.NOTE ON PIPING ANGLERefrigerant piping can exit the indoor unit from fourdifferent angles:• Left-hand side• Left rear• Right-hand side• Right rearRefer to Fig. 4.4 for details. Any dents in the piping will affect the unit’sperformance.If refrigerant piping is already embedded in the wall,do the following:Step 1: Hook the indoor unit on the mounting plate:Keep in mind that the hooks on the mounting plate aresmaller than the holes on the back of the unit.
