16Adaptec SCSI Card 39160 User’s ReferenceConfiguring the AdaptecSCSI Card 39160 withSCSISelectSCSISelect, which is included with the Adaptec SCSI Card 39160,enables you to change SCSI settings without opening the computeror handling the card. SCSISelect also enables you to low-level formator verify the disk media of your SCSI hard disk drives. The follow-ing table lists the available and default settings for each SCSISelectoption. The settings marked as “Auto-sync” are automatically syn-chronized for both SCSI channels—for example, if you change theBoot Channel option to B First on Channel A, the change will applyto Channel B as well. All other options can be set separately for eachof the two SCSI channels.The default settings are appropriate for most systems and shouldnot be changed. Run SCSISelect if you need to change or view cur-rent settings, or if you need to use the SCSI disk utilities.
