In some cases, selecting an optiondisplays another menu. You can return to the previous menu atany time by pressing Esc.The following sections discuss each of these menu options.Using the Array Configuration UtilityThe Array Configuration Utility (ACU) enables you to manage,create, and delete arrays from the controller’s BIOS. You can alsoinitialize and rescan drives.You can use the ACU to create a bootable array for the system. Werecommend that you configure the system to boot from an arrayinstead of from a single disk to take advantage of the redundancyand performance features of arrays. For details on creating abootable array, see Deleting Arrays on page 2-4.Note: If you are changing the configuration of a system that isalready in use on a network, log all users off the system andshut it down in an orderly manner before you start the ACU.Managing ArraysUse the Manage Arrays option to view array properties andmembers, make an array the boot array, manage failoverassignments, and delete arrays.
