Readit thoroughly before operating the machine.This product is intended for commercial use only.PARTS AND SERVICERepairs, when required, should be performed by your Authorized Nilfisk-Advance Service Center, who employs factory trained service personnel, andmaintains an inventory of Nilfisk-Advance original replacement parts and acces-sories.Call the Nilfisk-Advance dealer named below for repair parts or service. Pleasespecify the Model and Serial Number when discussing your machine.(Dealer, affix service sticker here.)NAME PLATEThe Model Number and Serial Number of your machine are shown on theNameplate on the bottom of the machine. This information is needed whenordering repair parts for the machine. Use the space below to note the ModelNumber and Serial Number of your machine for future reference.MODEL NUMBERSERIAL NUMBERUNCRATE THE MACHINEWhen the machine is delivered, carefully inspect the shipping carton and themachine for damage. If damage is evident, save the shipping carton so that itcan be inspected. Contact the Nilfisk-Advance Customer Service Departmentimmediately to file a freight damage claim (phone number is provided on the backcover of this manual).PREPARING THE MACHINEFOR USEWARNING!Use extreme caution when working with batteries. Sulfuricacid in batteries can cause severe injury if allowed tocontact the skin or eyes. Explosive hydrogen gas isvented from inside the batteries through openings in thebattery caps. This gas can be ignited by any arc, spark orflame.WHEN SERVICING BATTERIES....• Remove all jewelry• Do not smoke• Wear safety glasses• Work in a well-ventilated area• Do not allow tools to touch more than one batteryterminal at a time.CAUTION!Electrical components in this machine can be severelydamaged if the batteries are not installed and connectedproperly. Batteries should be installed by your localNilfisk-Advance dealer or by a qualified electricain.The Advolution 20B and 20BT may be used with three 12 volt 185amp hour batteries or three 12 volt 234 amp hour AGM batteries.CAUTION!The battery charger must be reprogrammed whenswitching from lead acid to AGM batteries.
