This information is stored in bat-tery-backed memory (CMOS RAM) and it retains the setup informationwhen the power is turned off.4.1.1 CMOS RAM Auto-backup and RestoreThe CMOS RAM is powered by a system board button cell battery. WhenBIOS setup is completed, the data in CMOS RAM is automaticallybacked up to Flash ROM. If operating in a harsh industrial environmentcauses a software error, BIOS will recheck the data in CMOS RAM andautomatically restore the original data from Flash ROM to CMOS RAMfor booting.Note: If you intend to change the CMOS setting without restoring the pre-vious backup, must be pressed within two seconds of the "CMOSchecksum error..." display screen message appearing. Then enter the"Setup" screen to modify the data. If the "CMOS checksum error..." mes-sage appears again and again, please check to see if the system batteryneeds to be replaced.
