coNtrol MAsterControl MasterIn every Pro64 network, one device will always be designated as theControl Master, the device that manages all A-Net resources for thenetwork. The Control Master can be any I/O module in the network, andcan be assigned or changed by the user as needed. Only one device canbe assigned as Control Master in a Pro64 network at a time; an A-NetPro64 network cannot function without a Control Master.The functions of the Control Master include:System resource and information managementSetting network mode (Auto or Manual)Management of active channels (Slots) in Auto ModeSystem-level command and control functionsKeeping track of all Pro64 devices in the network (bytype and quantity)Control of the current system-wide sample rateClock Master (analog modules only)System lock via password on/offManagement of Virtual Data Cable (VDC) resourcesManagement of stereo link statusRequests to enter Managed ModeThe Control Master status is identified with a red LED on the front panelof the device currently assigned as the Control Master.
