This ATV is not a toy and could be hazardous to operate.An ATV handles differently from other vehicles, includingmotorcycles and cars. A collision or rollover could occurquickly, even during routine maneuvers such as turningand driving on hills or over obstacles, if you fail to takeproper precautions. Never carry a passenger on an ATV. Do not operate the engine in a confined space wheredangerous carbon monoxide fumes can collect. Carbonmonoxide, a colorless, odorless, and extremely dangerousgas, can cause unconsciousness or death. Never consume drugs or alcohol before or while operatingthis ATV. Never operate an ATV on any paved surfaces, includingsidewalks, driveways, parking lots, and streets. Never operate an ATV on any public street, road, or high-way, even a dirt or gravel one. Never operate an ATV without wearing a DOT or Snell-approved motorcycle helmet that fits properly. You shouldalso wear eye protection (goggles) marked to comply withANSI Z87.1, gloves, over the ankle boots, long-sleevedshirt or jacket, and long pants. Never operate this ATV at excessive speeds. Always rideat a speed that is proper for the terrain, visibility, operatingconditions, and your experience. Always keep both hands on the handlebars and both feeton the foot rests of the ATV during operation. Always follow proper procedures for turning as describedin this manual. Practice turning at low speeds before at-tempting to turn at faster speeds. Do not turn at excessivespeeds. Always ride slowly and be extremely cautious when op-erating on unfamiliar terrain. Always be alert to changingterrain conditions when operating the ATV. Always be careful when skidding or sliding. Learn to safelycontrol skidding or sliding by practicing at low speeds andon level, smooth terrain. On extremely slippery surfacessuch as ice, go slowly and be very cautious in order toreduce the chance of skidding or sliding out of control. Never operate on excessively rough, slippery, or looseterrain until you have learned and practiced the skillsnecessary to control the ATV on such terrain. Always beespecially cautious on these kinds of terrain. Always check for obstacles before operating in a newarea. Never attempt to operate over large obstacles,such as large rocks or fallen trees. Always follow properprocedures when operating over obstacles as describedin this manual. Never operate the ATV on hills too steep for the ATV or foryour abilities. Practice on smaller hills before attemptinglarger hills. Always follow proper procedures for climbing hills as de-scribed in this manual. Check the terrain carefully beforeyou start up any hill. Never climb hills with excessivelyslippery or loose surfaces. Shift your weight forward. Neveropen the throttle suddenly or make sudden gear changes.Never go over the top of any hill at high speed. Never attempt wheelies, jumps, or other stunts. Never operate an ATV in fast flowing water or in waterdeeper than that specified in this manual. Rememberthat wet brakes may have reduced stopping ability. Testyour brakes after leaving water. If necessary, apply themseveral times to let friction dry out the linings. Always inspect your ATV each time you use it to makesure it is in safe operating condition. Always follow theinspection and maintenance procedures and schedulesdescribed in this manual. Never modify an ATV through improper installation or useof accessories.
