Manual 2100-642Page 57 of 82MAINTENANCE AND TROUBLESHOOTINGSTANDARD MAINTENANCEPROCEDURES4. Manually spin fan and blower motors to ensurethey turn freely. All motors are permanentlylubricated, so no oil is necessary.5. Inspect free cooling damper actuator and linkage.6. Install new air filter; check for additional filtergrilles internal to the structure.7. Inspect the control panel of the system.• Look for insect or rodent activity and removeany nesting materials.• Manually push contactor closed, observe formovement—contactor points should haveminimal discoloration, no spalling or othersigns of arcing. Replace if doubtful.• Check field and factory wiring for tightness andlook for signs of overheating (discoloration ofterminals or wire insulation).8. Ensure that supply and return registers are notobstructed, and more importantly, are not recyclingthe air to one another. Adjust supply louvers ifnecessary to direct discharge air away from anydirect route to the return grille.9. Re-assemble wall-mount unit, turn breakers back on.10. Enable system from LC controller (see AdvancedProgramming section).11. Repeat steps for additional wall-mount units.1. Disable system from LC controller (see AdvancedProgramming section).2. Turn off AC breakers at wall-mount units.3. Check inlet sides of condenser and evaporator coilsfor obstructions/debris—clean if necessary using aquality manufactured coil cleaning product specificfor the evaporator or condenser coil.• Condenser coil: Remove the fan shroud/motor/motor bracket as an assembly from thecondenser section. This will give clear accessto the inlet side of the coil for cleaning. Followthe coil cleaner manufacturer’s directions fornecessary safety gear and precautions, as wellas for application and use. More than oneapplication may be necessary. Rinse thoroughly.• Evaporator coil: Remove the evaporatorsection panel and apply specific evaporatorcleaner directly to the inlet side of coil, beingvery careful not to overspray into insulationor surrounding panels and wiring. Residualcleaner and dissolved debris should drip intothe drain pan and leave the unit through thecondensate hose. More than one applicationmay be necessary. Rinse thoroughly.Cut hazard.Wear gloves to avoid contact with sharpedges.Failure to do so could result in personalinjury.!
