Manual 2100-369EPage 8 of 18FIGURE 2FRESH AIR DAMPER ASSEMBLYFRESH AIR INTAKEAll units are built with fresh air inlet slots punched in theservice panel. If the unit is equipped with the fresh air damperassembly, the assembly is shipped already attached to theunit. The damper blade is locked in the closed position. To allow the damper to operate, the maximum andminimum blade position stops must be installed. SeeFigure 2.All capacity, efficiency and cost of operation informationas required for Department of Energy “Energyguide” FactSheets is based upon the fresh air blank-off plate in placeand is recommended for maximum energy efficiency. The blank-off plate is available upon request from thefactory and is installed in place of the fresh air dampershipped with each unit.CONDENSATE DRAINA plastic drain hose extends from the drain pan at the topof the unit down to the unit base. There are openings inthe unit base for the drain hose to pass through. In theevent the drain hose is connected to a drain system ofsome type, it must be an open or vented type system toassure proper drainage.LOW VOLTAGE CONNECTIONSThese units use a grounded 24 volt AC low voltagecircuit. The "R" terminal is the hot terminal and the "C" terminalis grounded."G" terminal is the fan input."Y" terminal is the compressor input for cooling."W1" terminal is the 1st stage electric heat. Thereversing valve must be energized for heating mode."W2" terminal is second stage heat (if equipped)."F" terminal is the ventilation input. This terminalenergizes any factory installed ventilation option.LOW VOLTAGE CONNECTIONSFOR DDC CONTROLFan Only Energize GCooling Mode Energize Y, G1st Stage Heating Energize W12nd Stage Heating Energize W1, W2(if employed)Ventilation Energize G, F
