Manual 2100-369EPage 9 of 18INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONSWALL MOUNTING INFORMATION1. These units are secured by wall mounting bracketswhich secure the unit to the outside wall surface atboth sides. A bottom mounting bracket is provided forease of installation, but is not required.2. On wood-frame walls, the wall construction must bestrong and rigid enough to carry the weight of the unitwithout transmitting any unit vibration.3. Concrete block walls must be thoroughly inspected toinsure that they are capable of carrying the weight ofthe installing unit.MOUNTING THE UNIT1. Two holes, for the supply and return air openings, mustbe cut through the wall as shown in Figure 3.2. Locate and mark lag bolt locations and bottommounting bracket location, if desired. See Figure 3.3. Mount bottom mounting bracket, if used.4. Hook top rain flashing under back bend of top. Toprain flashing is shipped attached to the back of the uniton the right side.5. Position unit in opening and secure with 5/16 lag bolts;use 7/8 inch diameter flat washers on the lag bolts.6. Secure rain flashing to wall and caulk across entirelength of top. See Figure 3.7. For additional mounting rigidity, the return air andsupply air frames or collars can be drilled and screwedor welded to the structural wall itself (depending uponwall construction). Be sure to observe requiredclearance if combustible wall.8. On side-by-side installations, maintain a minimum of20 inches clearance on right side to allow access toheat strips and control panel and to allow properairflow to the outdoor coil. Additional clearance maybe required to meet local or national codes.TABLE 3THERMOSTAT WIRE SIZEremrofsnarTAV ALF eguaGeriWmumixaMecnatsiDteeFnI55 3.2eguag02eguag81eguag61eguag41eguag215406001061052TABLE 4WALL THERMOSTATtatsomrehT serutaeFetanimoderP750-30483511D0225HTtaeHegats1,looCegats1elbammargorP-noNcinortcelErevoegnahclaunaMrootuA850-30481511D0225HTtaeHegats2,looCegats2elbammargorP-noNcinortcelErevoegnahclaunaMrootuA060-3048)544-0211(taeHegats3;looCegats3cinortcelEelbammargorP-noN/elbammargorPlanoitnevnoCroPHrevoegnahclaunaMrootuAWIRING — MAIN POWERRefer to the unit rating plate for wire sizing information andmaximum fuse or “HACR Type” circuit breaker size. Thedisconnect access door on this unit may be locked to preventunauthorized access to the disconnect. To convert for thelocking capability, bend the tab located in the bottom lefthand corner of the disconnect opening under the disconnectaccess panel straight out. This tab will now line up with theslot in the door. When shut, a padlock may be placedthrough the hole in the tab preventing entry.WIRING — LOW VOLTAGE WIRING230/208V, 1 phase and 3 phase equipment dual primaryvoltage transformers. All equipment leaves the factorywired on 240V tap. For 208V operation, reconnect from240V to 208V tap. The acceptable operating voltagerange for the 240 and 208V taps are:Five (5) wires should be run from thermostat subbase to the24V terminal board in the unit. A five conductor, 18 gaugecopper, color-coded thermostat cable is recommended. Theconnection points are shown in Figure 7.OPERATING VOLTAGE RANGENOTE: The voltage should be measured at the fieldpower connection point in the unit and whilethe unit is operating at full load (maximumamperage operating condition.)PAT EGNARV042 612-352V802 781-022
