39960-Hour Time Lapse Video Cassette Recorder38 960-Hour Time Lapse Video Cassette RecorderSYMPTOM POSSIBLE CAUSE CORRECTIVE ACTIONTimer recording.Alarm recording.Noise in theplayback picture.The date andtime are notrecorded.The cassette tapecannot be ejectedThe date and time are not correct.The unit is not set to timer recordingstand-by mode.“N” is selected for the TIMERPROGRAM SET.“NO” is selected for alarm recording inthe ALARM REC SET menu.The tracking adjustment is in thewrong.The video heads need cleaning.“NO” is selected for the date and timein the DISPLAY SET menu.The date and time go off the ON-SCREENby pressing the DISPLAY button.Problem with the system or tape.- Set the date and time correctly.- Press the POWER/TIMER button todisplay “ ” on the display panel.- Be sure to select “Y” for the TIMERPROGRAM SET.- Be sure to select “YES” for alarmrecording.- Adjust it by using the manualtracking.- Press the PLAY button in theplayback mode.- Clean the video heads.- Be sure to select “YES” for the display.- Press the DISPLAY button to show thedate and time.- Unplug the power cord then plug itback in.Periodic Inspection and MaintenancePeriodic inspection and maintenance should be referredto your dealer. If there is noise in the playback picture,and it cannot be corrected using the trackingcontrol, it may indicated that the video heads needcleaning. The video heads should be cleaned andinspected every 1,000 hours. The video heads usage canbe checked using initial menu, running time.System DownIf the unit does not function at all, try the following.1 Unplug the power cord then plug it back in.2 Reset the memory. (Press the RESET button. Undernormal conditions, do not touch the RESET button)3 If the problem is not corrected after performingsteps 1 and 2, consult your dealer.4• Press the RESET button formore than 5 seconds toperform the reset. RunningTime will not be reset.Troubleshooting GuideIf the unit does not operate normally when you follow the instructions indicated inthe manual, please refer to the table below.SYMPTOM POSSIBLE CAUSE CORRECTIVE ACTIONNo power.No imagedisplayed on themonitor TV.The buttons donot respond.Unit will not gointo recordmode.Autorepeat.The power cord is not correctlyconnected to the wall outlet.The unit is in timer recording stand-by mode.The connections are not correct.The power to the camera and/ormonitor TV is not turned on.The unit is in timer recording stand-by mode.Alarm recording.Panic recording.The security lock(SET LOCK) isengaged.The loaded cassette has noerasure prevention tab.“NO” is selected for autorepeatrecording in the REC MODE SETmenu.During autorepeat recording whenthere is an alarm input, autorepeatrecording is canceled.- Connect the power cord firmly intothe walloutlet.- This is normal, not a malfunction.- Check that all connections are correct.- Turn all connected devices poweron.- Press the POWER/Timer button.- Wait for the alarm recording to end.- Press the STOP button for 3 secondsto stop.- Wait for the panic recording to end.- Press the STOP button for 3 secondsto stop.- Cancel the security lock.- Load a cassette tape witherasure prevention tab or cover thetab hole with adhesive tape.- Be sure to select “YES” forautorepeat recording.- Set “YES” again for autorepeatrecording. |
