SETTING ALARM LIMITS7-67.3 SET PORT ALARM LIMITS SCREENPort Alarm Limits allow you to set an alarm limit for each port on a board.These alarm limits can be configured to advise you that a certain numberof good packets or collisions have passed through the port within a giventime period, within a specified count of good packets or collisionsprocessed by the MMAC, or by a specified count of good packets orcollisions processed by a board. For example, a Port Alarm Limit can beset to advise you when more than 1,000 good packets have passed throughthe port in 10 seconds. This limit can be set to disable the port when thelimit is reached.Port Alarm Limits are set at the Set Port Alarm Limits Screen. To accessthis screen:1. Highlight the PORT LIMITS - BOARD X option at the bottom of theBoard Limits Screen.2. Press Return.
