Installation ProcedureMicro-CS Installation GuideC-3C.4.2 Changing the Boot Method1. Attach a VT-100 type console terminal to port 1. Set this terminal to9600, no parity, 8 data, 1 stop.2. Power-up the MicroMMAC with the Micro-CS installed. Immediatelyfollowing the LED test (all turn on and then off), depress the SETUPswitch on the Micro-CS using a thin tool and note that the SETUPindicator turns on.3. After approximately one minute the console displays the monitorprompt (monitor::). At this prompt, enter:seq 4. The console responds with the promptEnter interface sequence {net}::5. At this prompt, enter:self 6. Now check for a bootable image in the flash PROM. At the monitorprompt, enter:image -d 7. The last line of the response should read:SELF image name: “oper.52.enet”8. If this name is missing, the Micro-CS did not find a bootable image inthe newly-installed Flash PROM. Contact Technical Support forassistance.9. At the monitor prompt, execute the boot command by entering:boot NOTEIn the unlikely event that you should ever have to return theMicro-CS to Cabletron for repair, please remove and save theflash upgrade for use on the replacement board supplied byCabletron. If you are unable to remove the Flash, contact yourCabletron Customer Support Representative so that they candocument that the board was returned with the Flash stillinstalled.
