INSTALLATION3-113.2.5 Installing The MicroSNAC-TThe MicroSNAC-T is a SNA/WAN Network Access Converter that youcan install in the MicroMMAC-T to integrate SNA and LAN data. TheMicroSNAC-T includes its own operating code and COM-port-accessiblemanagement tools.The MicroSNAC-T installs above the factory-installed 12-portdaughterboard for the MicroMMAC-22/42T models. It replaces theupper, removable 12-port daughterboard for the MicroMMAC-24T/44Tmodels.To install the daughterboard:1. Remove the MicroMMAC-T chassis cover as described inSection 3.2.1 and the front protection panel as described inSection 3.2.2.2. Lower the daughterboard on to the support posts as shown inFigure 3-13, aligning the front of the 12-port daughterboard flushagainst the aperture and inserting the daughterboard connector pinscompletely into the connector.The pins should insert easily into the connector. You should feel onlyminimal resistance while inserting.3. Connect the MicroSNAC-T LAN-traffic ports using the cableincluded with the MicroSNAC-T.4. Secure the daughterboard to the support posts with the support-postscrews, and then put the chassis cover back on.!CAUTIONIf you feel excessive resistance while inserting – STOP.
