Black plate (15,1)Cadillac CTS/CTS-V Navigation System (Includes Mex) - 2012Infotainment System 15TimeshiftTimeshift records all informationfrom AM, FM, XM™ (if equipped),etc. for up to an hour. Timeshiftallows you to listen to informationthat was missed. Once starting tolisten to one of the bands, timeshiftautomatically starts. Once timeshifthas recorded for an hour, it will keeprecording and start removing theinformation from the beginning.Press k (pause) to stop hearingthe information through thespeakers. During this pause time,timeshift keeps recording. Press k(play) to continue listening whereyou left off. During pause, aprogress bar displays, to show howmuch time the system has beenbuffering.Press k before turning the vehicleoff so that Timeshift keeps recordingfor up to one hour. If the vehicle isstill off after an hour of recording,the vehicle stops recording and allinformation is lost.If stations are switched, during thishour period, timeshift erases allinformation that was recorded andstarts recording from the currentband. If you switch to listening toany other source, timeshift willnot record.Radio Data System (RDS)The audio system has a Radio DataSystem (RDS). RDS features areavailable for use only on FMstations that broadcast RDSinformation. With RDS, theradio can:. Seek to stations broadcastingthe selected type ofprogramming. Receive announcementsconcerning local and nationalemergencies. Display messages from radiostationsThis system relies on receivingspecific information from thesestations and only works when theinformation is available. In rarecases, a radio station maybroadcast incorrect information thatcauses the radio features to workimproperly. If this happens, contactthe radio station.The RDS system is always on.When information is broadcast fromthe current FM station, the stationname or call letters display on theaudio screen. RDS may provide aprogram type (PTY) for currentprogramming and the name of theprogram being broadcasted.
