This willalso turn the Parking Assist and Rear Automatic Braking sys-tems on/off.Automatic Safety Belt Tightening♦ – While driving, the frontsafety belts automatically tighten during emergency braking orsteering maneuvers, and release when driving conditions returnto normal. See Driving and Operating in your Owner Manual.ADAPTIVE REMOTE STARTStarting the Vehicle1. Press and release the Lock button on the Remote KeylessEntry transmitter.2. Immediately press and hold the Remote Start button untilthe turn signal lamps flash.When the vehicle starts, the doors remain locked, and the park-ing lamps will light and remain on while the vehicle is running.The engine will continue running for 10 minutes. Repeat thesesteps for a 10-minute time extension. Remote start can beextended only once.3. Before driving, simultaneously press the brake pedal and theENGINE START/STOP button to turn on the ignition.Canceling a Remote StartPress and hold the Remote Start button until the parkinglamps turn off.Climate Control OperationDuring a remote start, the automatic climate control systemwill operate at the same setting as when the vehicle was lastturned off.Heated/Ventilated Seat OperationDuring a remote start, the heated/ventilated seats♦ will turn onautomatically if enabled in the Vehicle Settings menu. When it iscold outside, the heated seats turn on; and when it is hot outside,the ventilated seats turn on. The temperature performance of anunoccupied seat may be reduced.
