Themessage may not clear untilfrost or ice has melted all aroundand inside the sensor.. A trailer is attached to thevehicle, or a bicycle or an objectwas hanging out of the liftgateduring the current or last drivecycle. URPA will return to normaloperation after it is determinedthe object is removed. Thiscould take a few drive cycles.. A tow bar is attached to thevehicle.Other conditions may affect systemperformance, such as vibrationsfrom a jackhammer or thecompression of air brakes on a verylarge truck.Side Blind ZoneAlert (SBZA)If available, the Side Blind ZoneAlert system is a lane changing aidthat assists drivers with avoidingcrashes that occur with vehicles inthe side blind zones.{ WARNINGSBZA does not detect vehiclesrapidly approaching outside of theside blind zones, pedestrians,bicyclists, or animals. Failure touse proper care when changinglanes may result in injury, death,or vehicle damage. Always checkfor other vehicles and use theturn signals when changing lanes.SBZA Detection ZonesThe SBZA sensor covers a zone ofapproximately one lane over fromboth sides of the vehicle, 3.5 m(11 ft). This zone starts at each sidemirror and goes back approximately5.0 m (16 ft). The height of the zoneis approximately between0.5 m (1.5 ft) and 2.0 m (6 ft) off theground.Use caution while changing laneswhen towing a trailer, as the SBZAdetection zones do not changewhen a trailer is towed.
