Setting the date and time settings does notcause the date/time stamp to appear onimages. For printing images with the date onthem, refer to the Direct Print User Guide orSoftware Starter Guide.Charging the Date/Time Battery The camera has a built-in rechargeable lithiumbattery that maintains the date, time and othercamera settings. This battery recharges when themain battery pack is inserted into the camera.When you first purchase the camera, place acharged battery pack in it or use the AC AdapterKit ACK700 (sold separately) for at least 4 hoursto charge the date/time battery. It will charge evenwhen the camera power is set to Off. If the Set Date/Time menu appears when thecamera power is turned on, it means that thedate/time battery charge is depleted.
