The image in the Test Shooting window isupdated each time one takes a test shot and is automatically deleted when the TestShooting window is closed. However, one can save the image by clicking the Save button.One can also use this function for shots taken using ambient light.Another new, Live View Function related feature is Quick Preview. Until now, imagechecking for remote shooting using EOS Utility has been achieved by transferring imagesto DPP (Digital Photo Professional) or ZoomBrowser EX/ImageBrowser, which launchautomatically. As a result, there has always been a time lag of several seconds betweenshooting and image checking. The new Quick Preview function is Canon’s response touser requests for a shortening of this time lag.In EOS Utility ver.2.2, users can check theresults of remote shooting immediately in aQuick Preview window that automaticallyappears after the shot is taken. The defaultwindow size is 600 x 428 pixels, but one canadjust the window to any size, including full-screen. Note that the Quick Preview windowalways shows the last shot one took.One can choose whether to show or hide theQuick Preview window by clicking the Show/Hide Quick Preview button in the Capturewindow. The Quick Preview function can be used by all cameras that are compatiblewith EOS Utility ver.2.2, even if Live View Function is not involved.The shutter unit is the same as that of the EOS-1D Mark III,with a durability of 300,000 cycles.
