You can then recompose theshot if desired.One-Shot AF for Still SubjectsFocus indicatorAF pointIf focus cannot be achieved, the focus indicator <o> in the viewfinderwill blink. If this occurs, the picture cannot be taken even if the shutterbutton is pressed completely. Recompose the shot and try to focus againor see “When Autofocus Fails” (p.158).If [z1: Beep] is set to [Disable], the beeper will not sound when focusis achieved.After achieving focus with One-Shot AF, you can lock the focus on asubject and recompose the shot. This is called “focus lock”. This is usefulwhen you want to focus on a peripheral subject not covered by the AreaAF frame.When a lens equipped with an electronic manual focusing function isused, after achieving focus, you can focus manually by turning the lensfocusing ring while pressing the shutter button halfway (p.159).
