21The preparation display will disappear after 30seconds.(See page 54 for Lamp mode status.)Turning On the ProjectorConnect the projector’s AC power cord intoan AC outlet. The POWER indicator lightsred. Open the lens cap.Press the POWER button on the top controlor on the remote control unit. The POWERindicator lights green and the cooling fansstart to operate. The preparation displayappears on the screen and the countdownstarts.231 Complete peripheral connections (with acomputer, VCR, etc.) before turning on theprojector.Selected Input Source and Lamp modeNote:The Filter warning and Lamp replacement iconsmay appear on the screen depending on theusage state of the projector.Basic Operation4 After the countdown, the input source thatwas selected the last time and the Lampmode status icon (p. 54) appear on thescreen for about 4 seconds.Note:• When the Logo select function is set to Off, thelogo will not be shown on the screen (p.48).• When Countdown off or Off is selected in theDisplay function, the preparation display will notbe shown on the screen (p.48).• When the Auto input function is set to On 2, theinput signal will be searched automatically (p.47).• When Off is selected in the Display function, theVIDEO/PC selection window and the input signalguidance window are not shown on the screen(p.48).5 If there is no signal input when start on theprojector, or the current signal is missedwhile operating the projector, the VIDEO/PC selection window will be displayed onthe screen, please move the pointer to inputsource desired by pressing the Point ▲▼buttons and press the OK button. And thenfollow the input signal guidance window tocorrect the signal and connection.If the projector is locked with a PIN code,PIN code input dialog box will appear.
