11-10Troubleshooting*MF3240 OnlyPAPER JAM Paper jams have occured inthe machine.Clear the paper jam (See“Clearing Paper Jams,” onp. 11-1) and reload paper inthe paper cassette or multi-purpose feeder. Then resetthe machine by opening thefront cover and then closingit.PLEASE WAIT This message appears whenthe power cord is plugged inor when the machine is notready for printing.Wait until the messagedisappears.REMOVE MP PAPER* Paper is loaded in the multi-purpose feeder.Remove the paper from themulti-purpose feeder. Themachine will not print faxes,reports, or lists when paperis loaded in the multi-purpose feeder. They will bestored in memory.SYSTEM ERROREXXXA system error has occurred. will be a three-digitcode that indicates aparticular type of error.Unplug the machine. Wait forat least five seconds, andreconnect the power cord.
