2■ Power Cord and AC AdapterWARNING• Only use the AC adapter (PR-TP001) and power cord included with this product. Failure to do somay result in fire, electric shock, or malfunction. Also, do not use the included AC adapter andpower cord with other products. Failure to do so may result in fire or electric shock.• Do not place any heat sources near the power cord or AC adapter. Doing so may result in fire orelectric shock.• Do not use multiple extension cords or power strips to supply power to this product. Doing somay result in fire or electric shock.• To avoid causing a fire or serious electrical shock, make sure that the power plug is securely andcompletely inserted into the power outlet.• Do not damage, break, or modify the power cord and AC adapter. Do not place a heavy objecton, heat, or pull the power cord and the AC adapter. This could cause power leakage from thedamaged portion, resulting in a fire or electric shock.• To avoid personal injury from an electrical shock, do not handle the power cord or plug whenyour hands are wet.• Do not use the power cord while it is bundled or tied. Doing so may result in fire or electric shock.• Disconnect the printer power cord during severe electrical storms. Lightning could cause a fire orsevere electrical shock or damage to the printer.CAUTION• To avoid damaging the power plug, which could cause a short circuit and cause a fire or electricalshock, do not pull on the power cord to unplug the cord from the power supply. Always grip theplug to remove it from the power supply.• When disconnecting the AC adapter from the printer, be sure to remove the power plug from thepower outlet first. If the connection terminal of the AC adapter is brought into contact with anymetallic part when the power plug is still connected to the power outlet, a fire or electric shockcould result.• Do not place any objects around the power plug so that it can be unplugged at any time if needbe. In an emergency, if the power plug cannot be readily removed from the outlet, it may result ina fire or electric shock.• Do not use any power outlet other than the one rated for the printer. This printer is designed tobe used in the region where you purchased it. Also, make sure that the power outlet can supplysufficient power for the printer. This could cause a fire or serious electrical shock, or damage theprinter.
