99EUsing a Memory CardThe camcorder can take, store and manage still images on 2 types of memorycards: the MultiMediaCard (supplied with the camcorder) or an SD Memory Card(commercially available). The MultiMediaCard is an ultra-small, ultra-light mediathat can record still images. About the same size as a MultiMediaCard, the SD(Secure Digital) Memory Card has the protect switch to protect your recordingfrom accidental erasure, and fits into the same slot as the MultiMediaCard.You can do the following with a memorycard:• Record still images ( 103)• View still images 3 ways: Single( 107), Slide show ( 108),Index screen ( 108)• Select the quality of images ( 100)and the image resolution ( 101)recorded on the card• Protect important images against accidental erasure, print mark and erase stillimages ( 109-116)• Create interesting effects by combining images ( 117)• Record a still image from a cassette ( 105)• Copy multiple still images automatically to and from a cassette ( 120, 121)You can use most of the camcorder’s functions when recording to a memory card,such as the various recording programs ( 56), self-timer ( 69), shutter speed( 75), white balance ( 78) and other manual adjustments.
