116MAINTENANCEMaintenanceCleaning the ProjectorClean the projector frequently to prevent dust from settling on the surface.A dirty lens may ruin the quality of the projected image.Wipe the projector's main unit softly with a soft cloth.If the projector is heavily soiled, soak the cloth in water with a small amount of detergent init, squeeze the cloth very well, and then wipe the projector with it. After cleaning, wipe theprojector with a dry cloth.Cautionz The main unit is very hot immediately after turning off the projector. Wait until the pro-jector cools down sufficiently (approx. 5 minutes) before cleaning the projector. Other-wise, you may get burned or injured.z Before cleaning the projector, be sure to remove the power plug from the AC outlet.Otherwise, electric shock or fire may result.Cautionz Never use volatile cleaning liquid or benzine, as these may damage the finish of theprojector. When using a chemical dust cloth, make sure to read the instructions thor-oughly.z When cleaning the projector's lens, use a commonly available air blower or lenscleaning paper. The lens surface is easily damaged, so do not use a hard cloth or tis-sues.When Not Used for an Extended Period of TimeBe sure to attach the lens cap on the lens and store in the supplied carrying bag.
