21Installing the Backup BatteryThe backup battery (lithium button batteryCR1616) allows the camcorder to retainthe date, time ( 27) and othercamcorder settings while the powersource is disconnected. Connect a powersource to the camcorder when replacingthe backup battery to retain the settings.1 If a battery pack is attached,remove it first.2 Open the backup battery cover.3 Insert the backup battery with the+ side facing out.4 Close the cover.NOTESThe battery life of the backup battery isabout one year. flashes in red whenthe lithium button battery is not installed,or when it needs to be replaced.Preparing the Wireless Controller andAccessoriesFirst, insert the supplied lithium buttonbattery (CR2025) into the wirelesscontroller.1 Press the tab in the direction ofthe arrow and pull out the batteryholder.2 Place the lithium button batterywith the + side facing up.3 Insert the battery holder.TabCOPY
