11Connect the Power Cord, Turn On the Machine Connect Telephone Cables1Connect the power cord into the rear socket onthe back side of the machine and the wall outlet,and press the [I] side of the main power switch toON.2The machine enters the standby mode.Connect the optional handset to the handset jack(A) on the back side of the machine.Connect your external telephone to the externaldevice jack (B) on the back side of the machine ifrequired.Connect the supplied telephone cable to thetelephone line jack (C) on the back side of themachine and the wall jack.What if...● is displayed:Make sure that the toner cover and scanning platform are closed properly.
