103 - Gas connectionGas installationIMPORTANT NOTEThis appliance is supplied for use onNATURAL GAS only and cannot be usedon any other gas without modification.This appliance is manufactured forconversion to LPG if required and issupplied with a conversion kit.The cooker must be installed by aqualified person in accordance with theGas Safety (Installation and Use)(Amendment) Regulation 1990 and therelevant building/l.E.E. Regulations.The following British Standards shouldbe used as reference when installing thisappliance.BS6172 1990, BS5440 part 2 1989 andBS6891 1988.Failure to install the appliance correctlycould invalidate any manufacturerswarranty and lead to prosecution underthe above quoted regulation.In the UK C.O.R.G.I registered installersare authorised to undertake theinstallation and service work incompliance with the above regulations.Gas connectionThe installation of the cooker to NaturalGas or LP Gas must be carried out bya qualified gas engineer. Installers shalltake due account of the provisions of therelevant British Standards Code ofPractice, the Gas Safety Regulationsand the Building Standards (Scotland)(Consolidation) Regulations issued bythe Scottish Development Department.INSTALLATION TO NATURAL GASInstallation to Natural Gas must conformto the Code of Practice, etc. The supplypressure for Natural Gas is 20 mbar.INSTALLATION TO LP GASThis appliance must only be connectedto LPG after an LPG conversion kit hasbeen fitted, (see pages from 12 to 13).When operating on Butane gas a supplypressure of 28-30 mbar is required.When using Propane gas a supplypressure of 37 mbar is required.The installation must conform to therelevant British Standards.Warning: Only a qualified gas engineer,also with technical knowledge ofelectricity should install the cooker. Heshould observe the Regulations andCodes of Practice governing suchinstallation of gas cookers.Note: It is recommended that the gasconnection to the cooker is installed witha flexible connecting tube made to BS5386.
