8526-M256-O1 Rev B • CS Series 7OPERATIONPower SwitchThe Power Switch is located on the bottom left sidepanel towards the front of the scale. Place thepower switch in the on position. The scale willperform a brief lamp test. This test consists ofilluminating all display segments and annunciatorLED’s to allow the operator to make a visualverification that the display is operational. Aftercompletion of the lamp test, the scale will display themodel number and software revision level, then theWEIGHT display will show zero weight, indicatingthe scale is ready for use.Metric ConversionTo change weighing units, press the UNITS key to toggle between pounds and kilograms.Note that either the lb or kg annunciator will illuminate to indicate which weighing unit isactive.Before using the scale, it should be “warmed up” (turned on and unloadedfor approximately 15 to 20 minutes).WEIGHT DisplayDisplaying Weight1. With the scale in the Weight mode (H will be displayed for WEIGHT and will bedisplayed for the PIECE WEIGHT and COUNT displays), place the item to be weighedon the scale platform.2. The display will show the weight on the scale platform. The lb or kg annunciators willilluminate to indicate which unit of weight has been selected and that the scale is in theWeight mode. Note that the PIECE WEIGHT and COUNT display will remain at 0(zero).Zero the WEIGHT Display1. With the scale in the Weight mode ( will be displayed for the PIECE WEIGHT andCOUNT displays), press the ZERO key.2. The WEIGHT display will show dddddd (six dashes) for a few seconds and thenreturn to H. The ZERO and Stable annunciators will illuminate, indicating acenter-of-zero, stable gross weight condition.ON/OFF Switch
