INPUT TIME AND DATE — Access the TIME AND DATEtable on the SERVICE menu. Input the present time of day, date, and day of the week. The HOLIDAY TODAY param-eter should only be configured to YES if the present day isa holiday.NOTE: Because a schedule is integral to the chiller controlsequence, the chiller will not start until the time and datehave been set.CHANGE CVC CONFIGURATION IF NECESSARY —From the SERVICE table, access the CVC CONFIGU-RATION screen. From there, view or modify the CVC CCNaddress, change to English or SI units, and change the pass-word. If there is more than one chiller at the jobsite, changethe CVC address on each chiller so that each chiller has itsown address. Note and record the new address. Change thescreen to SI units as required, and change the password ifdesired.TO CHANGE THE PASSWORD — The password may bechanged from the CVC CONFIGURATION screen.1. Press the MENU and SERVICE softkeys. Enter the cur-rent password and highlight CVC CONFIGURATION.Press the SELECT softkey. Only the last 5 entries onthe CVC CONFIG screen can be changed: BUS #,ADDRESS #, BAUD RATE, US IMP/METRIC, andPASSWORD.2. Use the ENTER softkey to scroll to PASSWORD. Thefirst digit of the password is highlighted on the screen.3. To change the digit, press the INCREASE orDECREASE softkey. When the desired digit is seen, pressthe ENTER softkey.4. The next digit is highlighted. Change it, and the third andfourth digits in the same way the first was changed.5. After the last digit is changed, the CVC goes to the BUSparameter. Press the EXIT softkey to leave that screenand return to the SERVICE menu.Be sure to remember the password. Retain a copyfor future reference. Without the password, accessto the SERVICE menu will not be possible unlessthe CVC_PSWD menu on the STATUS screen isaccessed by a Carrier representative.TO CHANGE THE CVC DISPLAY FROM ENGLISH TOMETRIC UNITS — By default, the CVC displays informa-tion in English units. To change to metric units, access theCVC CONFIGURATION screen:1. Press the MENU and SERVICE softkeys. Enter thepassword and highlight CVC CONFIGURATION. Pressthe SELECT softkey.2. Use the ENTER softkey to scroll to US IMP/METRIC.3. Press the softkey that corresponds to the units desired fordisplay on the CVC (e.g., US or METRIC).MODIFY CONTROLLER IDENTIFICATION IF NECES-SARY — The CVC module address can be changed fromthe CVC CONFIGURATION screen. Change this addressfor each chiller if there is more than one chiller at the job-site. Write the new address on the CVC module for futurereference.INPUT EQUIPMENT SERVICE PARAMETERS IF NEC-ESSARY — The EQUIPMENT SERVICE table has six serv-ice tables.Configure SERVICE Tables — Access the SERVICE tables, depicted on the next page, to modify or view the followingto job site parameters:PARAMETER TABLEStarter Type ISM_CONF — Select 0 for full voltage,1 for reduced voltage, or 2 for solid state/variable frequency drive.Motor Rated LineVoltage ISM_CONF — Enter actual line voltagefrom power screen.Volt TransformerRatio ISM_CONF — Enter ratio (reduced to aratio to 1) of power transformer wired toterminal J3 of ISM. If no transformer isused enter 1.Motor Rated LoadAmps ISM_CONF — Per chiller identificationnameplate data.Motor Locked RotorTrip ISM_CONF — Per chiller identificationnameplate data. Enter locked rotor deltaamps (LR AMPS D-).Starter LRA Rating ISM_CONF — Enter value from name-plate in starter cabinet.Motor CurrentCT RatioISM_CONF — Enter ratio (reduced to aratio to 1) of current transformers wiredto terminal J4 of ISM.Ground FaultCurrentTransformersISM_CONF — Enter 0 if three groundfault CTs are wired to terminal J5 of ISM.Enter 1 if one ground fault CT is used.Ground Fault CTRatioISM_CONF — Enter ratio (reduced to aratio to 1) of ground fault CT.Single CycleDropoutISM_CONF — ENABLE if motor protec-tion required from drop in line voltagewithin one cycle.Line Frequency ISM_CONF — Enter YES for 60 Hz orNO for 50 Hz.Line FrequencyFaultingISM_CONF — ENABLE if motor protec-tion required for drop in line frequency.Surge LImiting orHot Gas ByapssOptionOPTIONS — Enter 1 if HGBP isinstalled.Minimum LoadPoints (T1/P1)OPTIONS — Per job data — See modifyload points section.Full (Maximum)Load Points(T2/P2)OPTIONS — Per job data — See modifyload points section.Chilled Medium SEETUP1 — Enter water or brine.EvaporatorRefrigerantTrippointSETUP1 — Usually 3° F (1.7° C) belowdesign refrigerant temperature.Evaporator FlowDelta P CutoutSETUP1 — Enter 50% of designpressure drop to 0.5 psi (3.4 kPa).*Condenser FlowDelta P Cutout SETUP1 — Enter 50% of designpressure drop to 0.5 psi (3.4 kPa).*Diffuser Option SETUP2 — ENABLE for 5 sizecompressor only. See model numbernomenclature.Diffuser Full SpanmA Rating SETUP2 — Enter diffuser actuator fullspan mA rating for 5 size compressoronly. Value is located on label on side ofdiffuser actuator motor.Motor RatedKilowatts RAMP_DEM — Enter value from chillerrequisition form (product data submittal) ifkilowatt ramp demand is enabled.*With variable flow systems this point may be configured to the lowerend of the range.NOTE: Other parameters on these screens are normally left at thedefault settings; however, they may be changed by the operator asrequired. The time and persistence settings on the ISM_CONF tablecan be adjusted to increase or decrease the sensitivity to a faultcondition. Increasing time or persistence decreases sensitivity. De-creasing time or persistence increases sensitivity to the faultcondition.54
