GB - 4Infrared remoteOperating test, address selector, fault code and Guide for the ownerOperating test• Perform the operating test after the units have been installed inposition and the gas leak test has been completed.• Check all electrical connections (instructions and wiringdiagram).• Insert the batteries into the remote control and leave it OFF.• Energise the system, turning the power supply ON.• Press the and buttons of the infrared remote control andhold them pressed for more than 5 seconds.The display will be cleared, the time segments will display theicon (Src = service test).• When test mode is selected, the unit will operate as describedbelow:- The Unit Status (Green) and Timer (Yellow) LEDS blink every2 seconds.- The indoor fan will operate according to user-selected speed.If user selected speed is Auto, the fan will run in High speed.- If the unit is configured as an A/C Only unit, it will operate incool mode with demand.• The louver will operate according to user-selected position. Ifuser selected louver is Auto, louver operates according to coollouver:- If the unit is configured as a Heat Pump unit, the louver willoperate according to user-selected position. If user selectedlouver is Auto, louver operates according to auto heat or coollouver based on operating mode. The unit will run in coolmode for 3 minutes, then it will run in heat mode for 2minutes, or until the indoor coil is greater than 104 F The unitwill run in cool mode until test mode is exited.• Any of the following will cancel the test Mode:- When the unit is turned off by the controller.- If the power is cycled during the Test Mode, the unit will returnto its normal operating mode.- After 30 minutes of receiving the last valid test requestmessage.- Fail ModeAddress selectorIf you are installing two indoor units in the same room and youwant them to operate in independent mode, it is necessary toassign each unit its own address so that each unit can operate viaits own remote control.For configuration, proceed as follows:Configuration (unit address) Table I• Press the and buttons of the infrared remote control andhold them pressed for more than 5 seconds.• The display will be cleared, the time segments will display thefirst configuration item (rAdr = remote address) and thetemperature segments will display the default value of thisconfiguration item (Ab = control of both indoor units).• Press either the or button to change the default value (Ab)to the new value (A) or (b).• Press button to transmit the new configuration to the unit.• Press button to leave the configuration menu.Configuration (remote control address) Table II• Press the and buttons of the infrared remote control andhold them pressed for more than 5 seconds.• The display will be cleared, the temperature segments willdisplay the first configuration item (CH = remote address) andthe time segments will display the default value of thisconfiguration item (Ab = control of both indoor units).• Press either the or button to change the default value (Ab)to the new value (A) or (b).• Press button to set the new configuration on the remotecontrol.• Press button to leave the configuration menu.Note:When 30 seconds have elapsed and no buttons have beenpressed, the remote control will automatically exit theconfiguration menu and the procedure has to be restarted.Fault codeTo have information on the fault codes, please refer to the unitinstallation manual.Guide for the ownerWhen installation and tests are completed explain the Operationand Maintenance Manual to the owner, with particular attention tothe main operating modes of the air conditioner, such as:• Turning the unit on and off.• Functions of the remote control.Leave the two installation manuals for the indoor and outdoorunits with the owner for future use during maintenance operationsor for any other needs.
