8NOTEREMOTE CONTROLThe remote control works with 1.5 Vbatteries. When the battery icon appearson the display of the remote control, it’s timeto replace the old batteries.Inserting the batteries• Open the battery compartment on theback of the remote control. To removethe small cover, press down the smalltab in the direction indicated by thearrow in the diagram.• Remove the old batteries and insert newones. The remote control requires twobatteries (1.5V type AAA).• Press the “o” button with a sharp-pointed object to reset the remotecontrol.CAUTIONBefore replacing the batteries, the devicemust be disconnected.• The average life of the batteries undernormal conditions of use isapproximately one year.• If the air conditioner does not functionas normal after the remote controlbatteries have been replaced, removethe batteries again, reinsert them andpress the “o” button again after 5seconds.
