Scrolling Marquee -- This device is the keypad imer-face used to access the control information, read sensor values,and test the unit. The Scrolling Marquee is located in the maincontrol box and is standard on all units. The Scrolling Marqueedisplay is a 4-key, 4-character, 16-seglnent LED (light-emittingdiode) display module. The display also contains an Alarm Sta-res LED. See Fig. 1. The display is easy to operate using 4 but-tons and a moup of 11 LEDs that indicate the following menustructures:Run StatusSel_TiceTestTemperaturesPressuresSet pointsInputsOutputsConfigurationTimeclockOperating ModesAlarmsThrough the Scrolling Marquee, the user can access all ofthe inputs and outputs to check on their values and status, con-fi_re operating parmneters plus evaluate the current decisionstares for operating modes. The control also includes an alarmhistory which can be accessed fioln the display. In addition,through the Scrolling Marquee, the user can access a built-intest routine that can be used at start-up comlnissioning and todia_ose operational problems with the unit.Fig. 1 -- Scrolling MarqueeAccessory Navigator TM Display-- The accessoryhand-held Navigator display can be used with the 48/50PGunits. See Fig. 2. The Navigator display operates the same wayas the Scrolling Marquee device. The Navigator display isplugged into the LEN port on either TB2 or the ECB board.Operation -- All units are shipped tiom the factory withthe Scrolling Marquee display, which is located in the maincontrol box. See Fig. 1. In addition, the Col_/brtLink TM controlalso supports the use of the handheld Navigator display.Both displays provide the user with an interface to theComJbrtLink control system. The displays have [] and []arrow keys, an _ key and an _ key. Thesekeys are used to navigate through the different levels of the dis-play structure. The Navigator and the Scrolling Marquee oper-ate in the same manner, except that the Navigator display hasmultiple lines of display and the Scrolling Marquee has a singleline. All further discussions and exmnples in this document willbe based on the Scrolling Marquee display. See Table 2 for the1rlenu strllcture.The four keys are used to navigate through the displaystructure, ,ahich is organized in a tiered mode structure. If thebuttons have not been used for a period, the display will defaultto the AUTO VIEW display category as shown under the RUNSTATUS category. To show the top-level display, press thekey until a blmlk display is shown. Thenand [] arrow keys to scroll through the top-levelcategories. These are listed in Appendix A and will be indicat-ed on the Scrolling Marquee by the LED next to each modelisted on the face of the display.When a specific mode or sub-mode is located, push thekey to enter the mode. Depending on the mode, theremay be additional tiers. Cominue to use the [] and [] keysand the _ keys until the desired display item is found.At any time, the user can move back a mode level by pressingthe _ key. Once an item has been selected the displaywill flash showing the item, followed by the item value andthen t;_llowed by the item units (if any).Items in the Configuration and Selwice Test modes arepassword protected. The display will flash PASS and WORD,ahen required. Use the _ and arrow keys to enter thetimr digits of the password. The default password is 1111.Pressing the _ and _ keys simultaneouslywill scroll an expanded text description across the display iMi-cating the full meaning of each display point. Pressing theand _ keys ,ahen the display is blank(MODE LED level) will return the display to its delhult menuof rotating AUTO VIEW display items. In addition, the pass-word will need to be entered again beli_re changes can be made.ChanNng item values or testing outputs is accomplished inthe stone manner. Locate and display the desired item. If thedisplay is in rotating auto-vie,a; press the _ key to stopthe display at the desired item. Press the _ key again sothat the item value flashes. Use the arrow keys to change thevalue of state of an item and press the _ key to acceptit. Press the _ key and the item, value or units displaywilt resume. Repeat the process as required for other items.Depending on the unit model, factory-installed options andfield-installed accessories, some of the items in the variousMode categories may not apply.Fig. 2 -- Accessory Navigator Display
