Unit 50SZ three-speed motors are factory wired for low speedoperation. Unit 50SZ 030 is factory wired for medium speed. Unit50SZ 018 has a two-speed motor wired for low speed. For 208/230-v Motors:— The motor leads are color-coded (SeeTable 4).Table 4—Color Coding for 208/230–V Motor LeadsBLACK = HIGH SPEEDBlue = Medium SpeedRed = Low SpeedTo change the speed of the indoor fan motor (IFM), remove fanmotor speed lead from the Time Delay Relay (TDR) and replacewith the lead for the desired blower motor speed. The motor speedlead is attached to terminal TDR-3. For low and medium speeds, black must be connected to the jumper wire. Insulate removed leadend to avoid contact with chassis parts.MAINTENANCETo ensure continuing high performance, and to minimize thepossibility of premature equipment failure, periodic maintenancemust be performed on this equipment.
