NOTEis used to highlight suggestions which will result in enhancedinstallation, reliability, or operation.INSTALLATION CONSIDERATIONSThe WiFi Broadband Wireless Remote Access Module (WiFiB-SAM), part number SYSTXCCRWF01, is powered with a24VAC transformer. A 120VAC supply nmst be near the mountinglocation. Provisions nmst be made to secure the transformer to theoutlet. The D-wire (24VAC) from the Infinity TM system mustNOT be used to power the Remote Access Module.This instruction covers the physical installation and start up ofWiFi B-SAM. Use this instruction to guide the actual installationprocess after the Infinity system(s) have been installed. One WiFiB-SAM is capable of handling two Infinity systems.INTRODUCTIONThe WiFi B-SAM connects to a network router and allows remoteconnectivity for up to two Infinity systems within the samebuilding. The Infinity system owner, as well as authorized dealer,can monitor and control the system via the Internet as well as bytelephone. The WiFi B-SAM conmmnicates wirelessly through thehomeowner's cable or DSL Internet service. Broadband Internetservice with a wireless network router is required. The WiFiB-SAM is not compatible with dial-up Internet service. The WiFiB-SAM can also monitor a dry-contact sensor to provide awarning for the presence of water in the building, or some otheruse. If the sensor is active, the Infinity system will not be disabledor shut down.Computer RequirementsThe WiFi B-SAM uses a web-based application to control andmonitor the Infinity System. This application will work with anygraphic user interface PC operating system (Microsoft, Apple,Linux). The web-based application is optinfized for use withMicrosofl's Internet Explorer version 6 and above.
