T--3111--71.6 EVAPORATORSEvaporators are located in the interior of the vehicle.Their primary function is to transfer heat contained in thepassenger compartment into the refrigerant. Theevaporators may be free blow mounted in the front, sideor rear of the vehicle (bus) to blow directly into theinterior or ducted to distribute the air in a plannedpattern, (the EM-20 is designed to sit on the vehicle’sfloor).Refer to Table 1-3 (Gen 4) and Table 1-4 (Gen 5) forCarrier Transport Air Conditioning evaporatorassemblies, their approximate CFM, Amp draw, weight,and cooling/heating BTU’s.Table 1-3 GEN 4 EVAPORATORSEVAP.
