Sequence of operationVVT Zone II Controller CARRIER CORPORATION ©2019Installation and Start-up Guide All rights reserved46The VVT Zone II supports 3 types of pressure-dependent terminal configurations:• Single duct• Series fan-powered• Parallel fan-poweredThe controller can operate as part of a linked VVT system or as a stand-alone controller.Temperature sensorsThe VVT Zone II supports the following temperature sensors:Sensors NotesSpace temperature sensors:• Wireless Standard or Plus 1 You can average up to 5 wireless sensors.• ZS Standard, Plus, Pro 2 You can average up to 5 ZS sensors - a combination of temperature,humidity, and/or CO2 sensors.• T55 3 Push the sensor's override button from 2 to 10 seconds to initiate atimed override.If a network space temperature value is used, that value must bewritten to the BACnet space temperature point (system_spt) at 1 to 5minute intervals or on a COV of 0.1 °F (.06 °C) .To reference another zone as your space temperature input, read theBACnet point zone_temp by using the network point System SpaceTemperature.Duct temperature sensors:• Duct Air Temperature (DAT) 10K Type II.If the zone does not have ducted reheat, install a DAT sensor on theinlet of the damper.• Supply Air Temperature (SAT) If the zone has ducted reheat, install an SAT sensor downstream of thereheat source. The SAT is used in controlling the reheat.The DAT/SAT determines the air source mode if Linkagecommunication fails or if the controller is stand-alone.
