Using Built-in Songs to Master Keyboard PlayE-20The following are the messages that appear on the displayduring Step Lessons.First, select the song, phrase, and part you want to practice.1. Select the song you want to practice (pageE-15).This will select the first phrase of the song.2. Press ck (or 8) to move forward one phrase, or7 to move back one phrase.• Holding down 8 or 7 scrolls through phrases at highspeed.• The keyboard remembers the last phrase you practicedfor up to 20 songs. To recall the last practice phrase forthe current song (if it is available), hold down ck.3. Press bl to select the part you want to practice.Each press of bl cycles through the settingsshown below.4. Hold down bo for about two seconds.The same tone used for song playback will be assigned tothe keyboard (page E-17).Messages that Appear during LessonsMessage Description Appears when you select a phrase, when alesson starts, etc.• Note that certain phrases will cause “Wait”to appear instead of “Phrase”. Appears when the lesson starts with an introor fill-in phrase that is not included in thephrases to be practiced. Play toll advanceautomatically to the next phrase after the un-included phrase plays, so wait until then tostart playing on the keyboard.NextPhrs Appears when advancing automatically to thenext phrase.
