EnglishUsing a Memory CardE-23Use the procedure below to save data you recorded onthe Digital Piano to a memory card as a MIDI file (SMFFormat 0).1. Insert a memory card into the Digital Piano’smemory card slot.2. While holding down the FUNCTION button,press the CARD MENU keyboard key.The CARD lamp will flash.3. Press the CLASSIC (SAVE) button.The SAVE lamp will light, which indicates the data savemode.• To exit the data save mode, press the FUNCTIONbutton.4. Press the SONG a button.• This starts the data save operation.• Data save is finished when the SAVE lamp andCARD lamp go out. The Digital Piano exits the datasave mode at this time.■ Memory Card Data StorageThe above procedure stores Digital Piano data in afolder named MUSICDAT on the memory card.• The MUSICDAT folder is created automaticallywhen you format the memory card on the DigitalPiano (page E-22).• Note that files not in the MUSICDAT folder cannotbe loaded, deleted, or renamed by this Digital Piano.You also will not be able to load or delete any filestored in any subfolder inside the MUSICDATfolder.You can use the procedure below to load user songdata (page E-29) from a memory card to Digital PianoMusic Library song number 61. After that, you can playback the user song or use it for lesson play.1. On your computer, copy the song data intothe “MUSICDAT” folder.• The Digital Piano recognizes only the first 99 files inthe “MUSICDAT” folder (sorted by file name).2. Insert the memory card into the piano’smemory card slot.3. Press the FUNCTION button.The CARD lamp will light.• Note that the CARD lamp will not remain lit if youhold down the FUNCTION button too long.4. While holding down the FUNCTION button,use the SONG SELECT – and + keys to scrollbetween songs.• You also can jump to a specific song by using theSONG SELECT keys to specify a sequential filenumber from 01 to 99.
