E-34Recording Your Keyboard PlayYou can record your music as you play and store up tofive songs in Digital Piano memory for later playback.You can divide a song into parts (by instrument, by lefthand and right hand, etc.) and record each partseparately. You can even use “punch-in recording” toedit specific parts of existing recordings.The following are the steps for recording or playingback a single recorder memory song.1. Press the (RECORDER) button twice soits lamp is flashing.This turns on the recorder and enters record mode.• Each press of the (RECORDER) button cyclesthrough modes as shown below.2. Configure the tone, rhythm, and othersettings you want to use.• The settings you configure here will be included aspart of the recorded song data.• For details about what is included in the recordedsong data, see “System Track” (page E-35).3. Play something on the keyboard.Recording starts as soon as you play something.• If Auto Accompaniment is playing, it will beincluded in the recorded data.4. When you are finished, press the (START/STOP) button.This will cause the (RECORDER) lamp to flash andthen light, indicating the playback mode.• If you are using Auto Accompaniment, you also canend the recording session by pressing the (ENDING) button.5. To play back what you have recorded, press (START/STOP) again.• Each press of starts and stops playback.6. To turn off the recorder, press the (RECORDER) button so its lamp goes out.NOTE• Recorder memory capacity is approximately 10,000notes per song. When remaining capacity is 100notes or less, the (RECORDER) button lamp willflash at high speed. Recording will stopautomatically when memory becomes full.• Repeat, fast reverse, fast forward, pause, and tempoadjustment during playback are the same as whenplaying back user songs.
