You can send playdata from the Digital Piano to music software runningon your computer, or you can send MIDI data fromyour computer to the Digital Piano for playback.The following shows the minimum computer systemrequirements for sending and receiving MIDI data.Check to make sure that your computer complies withthese requirements before connecting the Digital Pianoto it. Operating SystemWindows® XP (SP2 or later)*1Windows Vista® *2Mac OS® X (10.3.9, 10.4.11 or later, 10.5.6 or later) USB portIMPORTANT!• Never connect to a computer that does not conformto the above requirements. Doing so can causeproblems with your computer.IMPORTANT!• Make sure you follow the steps of the procedurebelow exactly. Connecting incorrectly can make datasend and receive impossible.1. Turn off the Digital Piano and then start upyour computer.• Do not start up the music software on your computeryet!2. After starting up your computer, use acommercially available USB cable to connectit to the Digital Piano.3. Turn on the Digital Piano.• If this is the first time you are connecting the DigitalPiano to your computer, the driver software requiredto send and receive data will be installed on yourcomputer automatically.4.
