WAV files are stored in the AUDIOfolder, automatically assigning them names fromTAKE01.WAV to TAKE99.WAV. You also can connecta USB flash drive to a computer and change the namesof audio data (WAV) files to the format“TAKEXX*.WAV”, and move them to the AUDIOfolder. Then you will be able to play them back on theDigital Piano.* XX = 01 to 99USB Flash Drive and USB Flash DrivePort Handling PrecautionsIMPORTANT!• Be sure to observe the precautions provided in thedocumentation that comes with the USB flash drive.• Avoid using a USB flash drive under the followingconditions. Such conditions can corrupt data storedon the USB flash drive.• Areas subjected to high temperature, highhumidity, or corrosive gas• Areas subjected to strong electrostatic charge anddigital noise• Never remove the USB flash drive while data isbeing written to or loaded from it. Doing so cancorrupt the data on the USB flash drive and damagethe USB flash drive port.• Never insert anything besides a USB flash drive intothe USB flash drive port. Doing so creates the risk ofmalfunction.• A USB flash drive can become warm after very longuse. This is normal and does not indicatemalfunction.• Static electricity conducted to the USB flash driveport from your hand or from a USB flash drive cancause malfunction of the Digital Piano. If thishappens, turn the Digital Piano off and then back onagain.IMPORTANT!• Never plug any other device besides a USB flashdrive into the USB flash drive port.• When you perform a USB flash drive operation orturn on the Digital Piano while a USB flash drive isplugged in, the Digital Piano initially needs toperform a “mounting” sequence to prepare for dataexchange with the USB flash drive. Digital Pianooperations are momentarily disabled while amounting sequence is being performed. While themounting process is in progress, the message“Media Mounting” will be displayed or “*****” willflash on the display. It may take up to 10 or 20seconds or even longer for a USB flash drive to bemounted. Do not attempt to perform any operationon the Digital Piano while a mounting sequence is inprogress. A USB flash drive needs to be mountedeach time it is connected to the Digital Piano.■ To insert a USB flash drive1. As shown in the illustration below, insert theUSB flash drive into the Digital Piano’s USBflash drive port.• Carefully push the USB flash drive in as far as it willgo.
