Connecting headphones to thePHONES jack cuts off output to the speakers, whichmeans you can practice even late at night withoutbothering others. To protect your hearing, make surethat you do not set the volume level too high whenusing headphones.NOTE• Be sure to push the headphones plug into the PHONESjack as far as it will go. If you don’t, you may hear soundfrom only one side of the headphones.You can connect audio equipment or a music amplifierto the digital piano and then play through externalspeakers for more powerful volume and better soundquality.Connecting Audio Equipment (Figure 1)Use commercially available connecting cords (miniPlug × 1, Pin Plugs × 2) to connect as shown in Figure1. Make sure that the end of the cord that you connectto the digital piano is a stereo mini plug. A monauralmini plug will result in output of only one of the twostereo channels.
