We design and manufacture consumer products withthe safety of you, our valued customer, foremost in mind. In addition, we ask that you exercisea degree of care when using any electrical appliance and adhere to the following precautions.IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS FOR YOUR ESPRESSO MACHINE ES 4011Carefully read all instructions beforeoperating and save for future reference.Remove any packaging material andpromotional labels or stickers before usingthe espresso machine for the first time.Do not place the espresso machine nearthe edge of a bench or table duringoperation. Ensure the surface is level, cleanand free of water and other substances.Do not place the espresso machine on ornear a hot gas or electric burner, or whereit could touch a heated oven.Do not use the espresso machine ona metal surface, e.g. sink drain board.Always ensure the espresso machine isproperly assembled before connecting topower outlet and operating.Warning: The espresso machine is notintended to be operated by means of anexternal timer or separate remote controlsystem.Use only the accessories provided with theespresso machine.Use only cold tap water in the water tank.Do not use any other liquid.Never use the espresso machine withoutwater in the water tank.Ensure the filter holder is firmly insertedand secured into the brewing head beforeusing the machine.Never remove the filter holder during thebrewing operation as the machine is underpressure.Do not leave the espresso machineunattended when in use.Do not touch hot surfaces. Allow theespresso machine to cool down beforemoving or cleaning any parts.Do not place anything, other than cups forwarming, on top of the espresso machine.Always switch off the espresso machineby pressing the POWER button ‘Off ’, switchoff at the power outlet and unplug ifappliance is to be left unattended, if notin use, before cleaning, before attemptingto move the appliance, disassembling,assembling and when storing theappliance.Keep the espresso machine andaccessories clean. Follow the cleaninginstructions provided in this book.
