The LIMIT LEDis not on, or only lights upoccasionally.Sound is distorted and very loudand LIMIT LED lights up.Hum or buzz when a mixer isconnected to the unit.Hum or buzz when using lightingcontrols in the same building.The ON LED does not light up whenthe mains connector is connectedand the unit is switched to ON.CAUSE1 – The signal source is sending nosignal.2 – Defective cable.3 - The amplifier has overheated.The signal source does not have ahot enough output.The mixer or signal source isdistorting.The system is overloaded and hasreached maximum power.1.– The console probably has un-balanced outputs. You may be usingan incorrect un-balanced tobalanced cable.2.– The mixer and the poweredspeaker are not plugged into thesame mains outlet.3.– The audio signal cable is toolong or too close to an AC cable1.– The audio signal cable is toolong or too close to the lightingcable.2.– On a sound system with three-phase AC, the lighting equipmentand the UNIT are connected to thesame phase.1.– Bad or loose AC connection tothe UNIT or the mains outlet.2 – Faulty AC cable.3 – Blown Fuse.4 - The mains voltage is out ofrange.SOLUTION1 – Check that the mixer or soundsource is sending signal to the UNIT.2 – Check that the cable from thesound source to the UNIT isconnected correctly. Replace thecable if defective.3 - Allow the unit to cool down forsome minutes and it will functionagain. Check the main output levelof the mixer or channel gains sincethe unit will have been functioningwith excessive levels.If using a mixer, use the balancedo u t p u t i f a v a i l a b l e . U s e aprofessional mixer with a hotteroutput.Turn mixer channel gains down.Check that none of your signalsources are distorting.Turn down the mixer's output.1.– Read the appendix of thismanual to make a correct un-balanced to balanced cable.2.– Connect the mixer and the unitto the same mains outlet.3.– Use a cable that is as short aspossible and/or move the audiosignal cable away from mainscables.1.– Move the audio signal cableaway from lighting cables. Try to findout at what point the noise is leakinginto the system.2.– Connect the sound system to adifferent phase than the lights. Youmay need the help of an electrician.1.– Check your connections.2.– Check the cables, connectorsand AC power with a suitable mainstester.3.- Replace the blown fuse foranother of the same type and size.4.- If the multimeter determines thatthe mains voltage is out the range,you may need the assistance of anelectrician to find an appropriatesolution.Troubleshooting
