14Installation InstructionsInstall Exhaust DeflectorCAUtIONInstall the exhaust deflector before installing the ovendoor(s).Attach the exhaust deflector to the front of the oven. Itattaches to the oven just below the oven chamber in thedoor jam. On a double oven, the exhaust deflector ismounted below the bottom oven chamber.1. Line up the mounting holes on the exhaust deflectorwith the screw holes on the front of the oven.2. Secure it using the three (3) screws provided.Reinstall the Oven Door(s)WARNINGTo avoid damage to the door or personal injury from itfalling off its hinges:• Make sure that the notch on the bottom of each hingerests on top of the lower lip of each hinge receptaclebefore attempting to open the oven door.• Rotate the hinge locks toward the front of the ovenimmediately and completely after installation of thedoor.CAUtIONOn double ovens: Install the upper door first to preventdamage to the lower door.1. Grasp the oven door on opposite sides and hold it at a15° angle from the front of the oven. See facing page.2. Slide the hinges into the hinge openings, resting thebottom of the hinge arms on the hinge receptacles.3. Continue to hold the door at a 15° angle with one handwhile pushing in on each of the bottom corners of thedoor. Push until the notch on the bottom of each hingeslips over the lower lip of each hinge receptacle.4. Lower the door to the fully opened position.5. Rotate the two hinge locks toward the oven. Slowly andcarefully open and close the door completely to makesure that it is properly installed.Verify Proper OperationWARNINGRead the accompanying use and care manual completelybefore using the oven.1. Remove any packaging from inside the oven(s).2. On some models there is protective plastic coating overthe stainless steel surfaces. Peel them off before use.3. Slide the oven racks onto the support racks in the ovenchamber(s) as instructed in the use and care manual.4. Turn on the power to the oven at the circuit breakeror fuse box. Set the clock as instructed in the use andcare manual.5. Set the oven to bake mode as instructed in the use andcare manual.NOtES: If the oven does not operate properly, follow thesetroubleshooting steps:• Verify that power is supplied to the oven.• Check for proper electrical connection.• Repeat the above bake test.• If the appliance still does not work, contact Dacor• Distinctive Service at (877) 337-3226.
