1-27EnglishMAINTENANCE AND SERVICEDISPOSALNOTICEDo NOT try to dismantle the system yourself: the dismantling of the system, treatment of the refrigerant, oil and other partsMUST comply with applicable legislation. Units MUST be treated at a specialised treatment facility for reuse, recycling andrecovery.Note is valid for Turkey only: The lifetime of our products is ten (10) yearsNOTICEMaintenance MUST be done by an authorized installeror service agent. We recommend performing maintenance at least oncea year. However, applicable legislation might requireshorter maintenance intervals.NOTICEIn Europe, the greenhouse gas emissions of the totalrefrigerant charge in the system (expressed as tonnesCO 2 -equivalent) is used to determine the maintenanceintervals. Follow the applicable legislation.Formula to calculate the greenhouse gasemissions: GWP value of the refrigerant × Totalrefrigerant charge [in kg] / 10001. Overview: Maintenance and serviceThis chapter contains information about:● The yearly maintenance of the outdoor unit2. Maintenance safety precautionsDANGER: RISK OF ELECTROCUTIONDANGER: RISK OF BURNINGNOTICE: Risk of electrostatic dischargeBefore performing any maintenance or service work, touch a metal part of the unit in order to eliminate staticelectricity and to protect the PCB.WARNING■ Before carrying out any maintenance or repairactivity, ALWAYS switch off the circuit breaker onthe supply panel, remove the fuses or open theprotection devices of the unit.■ Do NOT touch live parts for 10 minutes after thepower supply is turned off because of high voltagerisk.■ Please note that some sections of the electriccomponent box are hot.■ Make sure you do NOT touch a conductive section.■ Do NOT rinse the unit. This may cause electricshocks or fire.3. Checklist for yearly maintenance ofthe outdoor unitCheck the following at least once a year:● Outdoor unit heat exchanger. The heat exchanger of the outdoor unit can get blocked up dueto dust, dirt, leaves, etc. It is recommended to clean the heatexchanger yearly. A blocked heat exchanger can lead to too lowpressure or too high pressure leading to worse performance.
