Illustrations show AZQS140B outdoor unit type. Other types alsofollow this installation manual. Never operate the unit with a damaged or disconnecteddischarge thermistor and suction thermistor, burning of thecompressor may result. Be sure to confirm the model name and the serial no. of theouter (front) plates when attaching/detaching the plates to avoidmistakes. When closing the service panels, take care that the tighteningtorque does not exceed 4.1 N•m.4. HandlingAs shown in the figure, bring the unit slowly by grabbing the left andright grips.Place your hands on the corner instead of holding the suction inlet inthe side of the casing, otherwise the casing could be deformed.5. Selecting installation site5.1. General Select an installation site where the following conditions aresatisfied and that meets with your customer's approval.- Places which are well-ventilated.- Places where the unit does not bother next-door neighbours.- Safe places which can withstand the unit's weight andvibration and where the unit can be installed level.- Places where there is no possibility of flammable gas orproduct leak.- The equipment is not intended for use in a potentiallyexplosive atmosphere.- Places where servicing space can be well ensured.- Places where the indoor and outdoor units' piping and wiringlengths come within the allowable ranges.- Places where water leaking from the unit cannot causedamage to the location (e.g. in case of a blocked drain pipe).- Places where the rain can be avoided as much as possible.- Do not install the unit in places often used as work place.In case of construction works (e.g. grinding works) where alot of dust is created, the unit must be covered.- Do not place any objects or equipment on top of the unit (topplate).- Do not climb, sit or stand on top of the unit,- Be sure that sufficient precautions are taken, in accordancewith applicable legislation, in case of refrigerant leakage. When installing the unit in a place exposed to strong wind, payspecial attention to the following.Strong winds of 5 m/sec or more blowing against the outdoorunit's air outlet causes short circuit (suction of discharge air),and this may have the following consequences:- Deterioration of the operational capacity.- Frequent frost acceleration in heating operation.- Disruption of operation due to rise of high pressure.- When a strong wind blows continuously on the face of theunit, the fan can start rotating very fast until it breaks.Refer to the figures for installation of this unit in a place wherethe wind direction can be foreseen.CAUTIONTake care not to let hands or objects come in contact withrear fins.1x1 2 3 4ENERG IJAYIAIE ENERG IJAYIAIEWARNING Be sure to provide for adequate measures in order toprevent that the outdoor unit be used as a shelter bysmall animals.
