4 InstallationInstallation manual7EHVZ04~16S18CB3VDaikin Altherma – Low temperature split4P401672-1D – 2017.04NOTICEThis unit is designed for operation on 2 temperature zones:▪ underfloor heating in the main zone (watertemperature 35°C), this is the zone with the lowestwater temperature,▪ radiators in the additional zone (water temperature45°C), this is the zone with the highest watertemperature.1 Install the shut-off valves on the space heating water pipes.fac e d ba Space heating additional zone water outb Space heating additional zone water inc Domestic hot water outd Domestic cold water in (cold water supply)e Space heating main zone water outf Space heating main zone water inNOTICEIt is recommended to install shut-off valves to domesticcold water in and domestic hot water out connections.These shut-off valves are field supplied.2 Screw the indoor unit nuts on the shut-off valves.3 Connect the domestic hot water in and out pipes to the indoorunit.NOTICEInstall air purge valves at all local high points.4.4.2 To connect the recirculation pipingPrerequisite: Only required if you need recirculation in your system.1 Loosen and remove the 4 screws that fix the top panel.2 Remove the top panel from the unit.4×3 Disconnect and remove the expansion vessel of the topinsulation.4 Remove the top insulation.5 Cut out part (c) on the left or right side from the top insulation.Tank capacity Cut out position180 l Left OR right6 Connect the recirculation piping to the recirculation connection(b) and route the piping through the hole at the backside of theunit (a).baca Piping intake holeb Recirculation connectionc Cut-out location7 Reattach the top insulation, expansion vessel, and casing.4.4.3 To fill the water circuit1 Connect the water supply hose to the fill valve.abINFORMATIONPlease fill with water through connection a OR b. Bothcircuits (main and additional) will be filled.2 Open the fill valve.3 Make sure that the automatic air purge valve is open (at least 2turns).4 Fill the circuit with water until the manometer indicates apressure of ±2.0 bar.5 Purge as much air as possible from the water circuit.6 Close the fill valve.7 Disconnect the water supply hose from the fill valve.4.4.4 To fill the domestic hot water tank1 Open every hot water tap in turn to purge air from the systempipe work.2 Open the cold water supply valve.3 Close all water taps after all air is purged.4 Check for water leaks.5 Manually operate the field-installed pressure relief valve toensure a free water flow through the discharge pipe.4.4.5 To insulate the water pipingThe piping in the complete water circuit MUST be insulated toprevent condensation during defrost operation and reduction of theheating capacity.
